Good wind all day but flicking around from W to SW which meant there were passing opportunities for those who picked the changes.

Just typical is it not? Why is it, when you organise a race, the weather changes? Latest forecast is for Southerly wind, so unless that changes, Waitarere Marathon is postponed

Waitarere marathon

Why not. Ian did it in just over 2 hours (I will look up the exact time) 3 years ago. The beach over 15knots with long legs is a good combination for the guys with a bit more weight.

Waitarere marathon

Wind is moderating a bit, starting at 13 knt midday, rising to 15 then about 19 knts at 6 pm. Makes for an interesting sail choice!

Looking good for the weekend. Windfinder at Muriwai saying Westerly 25-27 knt on Saturday afternoon mostly fine, break out the 2s! it's Orca weather, damn! But will the 2 hour barrier be broken?

Sport Unleashed Winter Series

Hey everybody, This is hot off the Press from Ben. Not sure about the creature comforts yet. But it is about 4 1/​2 hours out from Melbourne depending how reliable the HQ Holden is.

Plenty of "meeting and greeting" with about a dozen new faces turning up to have ago with the club karts and two families who have their own karts which is great.

Looks like we have wind, maybe up to 15 knts at times. Prediction of fine weather this afternoon, although would bring wet weather gear for odd shower and the puddles.

five braved the elements at Harrison's cut. The ill fated run to the mount surf club left three of us walking about 3kms back to the put in spot. Great exercise for a soaking wet day.
