Yesterday ended up a great day with easterly winds all afternoon. Everyone started with 3 metre sails for the "round the mountain" track. Fast and furious sailing for the 15 or so who turned up. The wind moderated about 3 pm and most changed to 4 metre sails. Brian persisted with the 3 and still maintained good speed on all sections except the back straight which was downwind for about 30 metres. Upwind and across the wind the 3 was matching the 4 no trouble. Some good speed by everyone with not a lot of passing unless there was a mistake.
Sailing tomorrow night is not an official race night but we will still meet and have some handicap races. A good chance to do some fine tuning without affecting your results.
