Made it out to the lake today, with enough time to catch a fading breeze. Light enough for the 5.5 and POD. An awesome combination! With a 9-10 knot NWesterly, was able to record max speed of 25 mph on my GPS. More then twice the speed of the actual wind! Sailed continuously for almost 2 hours and never had to stop to come in and warm up. There was one other guy out there with a DN who wanted to say hello. He stopped and as we talked, I kept sailing circles around him! DN's normally do not do that well in light winds. Over 5 inches of clear ice with temps well below freezing tonight, and winds 10-20 tomorrow, should give us a good day. Snow coming in Saturday night so we might be all done for the season. Don't pass up this day.
