Ivanpah is located on the edge of the Mojave desert and so is a desert climate. Not considered a "high desert" like other locations. Weather is spring like and can be changeable. Typically, I might wear (or have handy) a fleece jacket for early morning and evenings. The heat of the day goes away quickly in the desert. Usually, T-shirts and shorts during the day. HOWEVER, having said that, there can be the occational cold front move in (with strong winds) and sweat shirts and long pants will be welcome. If you find yourself still unprepared, there is a shopping mall attached to one of the casinos. They will be happy to separate you from some of your money in exchange for warmer clothing.
