The Great 100 km Race will need to be postponed again. There is a week of E -NE winds predicted. I considered Omaha because of suitable tides but logistically it would be difficult to run this type of race at this beach. Next proposed days 9/10 May or 23/24 May. We may have a beach hoon around at Omaha if predicted winds (35 Knts!) come in. Yeehaa.

The Sport Unleashed Winter Series will be held this Sunday at Bruce Pulman Park, Papakura. Yes, we now have a sponsor for this event with a lucky draw prize being given away each race day plus more sponsored prizes at the final prize giving night in October.

Heavyweights - 85+ kg

Lightweights - under 85 kg

Restricted - No 5.5 sails allowed, suitable for new or inexperienced sailors.

Everyone welcome. $20 for the series or $5 per race day.

Times:

4th Sunday of each month (April - September) with the following Sunday being used as a back up day.

Meet at BPP about 12 noon, briefing 12.45, race start 1 pm.
