Oh dear, the 4 weekend slam dunk is broken. Blokart Heaven, Teams Racing, Winter Series, Ohakea...Well, the wind looks to be going northerly at Omaha this afternoon but will remain easterly in Auckland. Tomorrow afternoon looks better for Omaha, stronger and easterly, but the tide is a bit too late, and we'd end up sailing in the dark.

7 knots ENE at BPP at the moment.

Ohakea next weekend looks like the lightest wind forecast that we've had for a while - ideal for the restricted class on the smooth open surface, with it picking up a bit in the afternoon on Saturday.  But it's early days to be calling the weather the way it is coming across. N - NW forecast so it shouldn't be bitterly cold - just good training for the Worlds next year!

Weather is now "steatdy rain becoming heavy this afternoon". Predicted to be 35 knts as well but mightn't get this at BPP.
Anyone still wanting to go for a sail at the Park please use caution as no safety gear, roads blocked etc.
Late afternoon tides on east coast may be a better look. There will be no back up day next week. Next race will be 26 July.
So you can start packing your kart for Ohakea.
