BLOKART-NZ

We're kooking like we'll have a ladies day on Sunday with a rising wind forecast and a lot of interest from the ladies. Sue & Emma, possibly Sally, Merrin (if Trevor and I can talk her out of her tennis elbow) and we have the demo kart available too. Merrin will use Trevor's kart (Trevor is a dab hand on the barbie). Orca Dave is hopefully bringing his niece. Perhaps Allan can get Angela along too (she sailed well at the NZ Open in the deuce and on her own on Allan's kart, so hopefully having a few more fun sailors along will help).

So we have from 18 years of age up, so come along and ask around. Guys, up your kart for the afternoon while we talk shop!

With Marg & Jenny running the event and the men relegated to the pits and the BBQ (these two are top sailors) there are tips going that the blokes won't hear. I lost my OPTN challenge to Jenny (on a one-to-one)
– but we'll see who is on top in scratch for the Twilight series – eh Jenny. Results out this weekend!

Some come on guys, get the invitations and the barbie tools out and let's have a great day! For the men it's blok(e)-art day! Show your tats (or whatever).

Cheers

A good night for sailing, enough wind to lift onto two wheels although
the super heavies might have wanted a bit more. John and Haydn (with
new blokart and speed to burn) dominated the top places but also a win
for Wayne O in the first race and a win for Nicholas in the last race
after leading from start to finish with Haydn closing the gap to 2
seconds at the end.
With a steady wind for the 6 races and covering 4 laps (10 – 12
minutes) the results should be fair for all and the handicap section
will be in doubt until the computer has finished spitting out the
results. Everyone gets to drop 6 races so this will alter things,
especially for those who missed a whole night.
Results to be posted over the weekend.
Looks like a nice day on Sunday

day. See you at the park around 1 pm, bring your food and drink for
the barbeque.
