I arrived at 4:15 pm and sailed for 30 minutes on a 3m in the most fabulous wind at BPP since the Thursday before Christmas last year. I sailed every course available. Then just as I thought no one was going to turn up we had a few newbies and some regulars arrive – bringing the number to 10. At last someone to share the fun with!
After everyone went out on 3m sails there was a brief squall, and the wind dropped off. Everyone changed to 4m except Brian and a few newbies. We had some fun races, and Brian cleaned us up – but he didn't have it all his own way, with Jon, Ray, Brian, NewDave (#77) and Grant1 all putting in good performances and elbowing him out a few times. Grant1 then got got out his secret weapon, but even that was not enough.
They were all still going strong at 7:45 pm when I left with 62 Km on the clock. What a season it has been – but why does the really good wind wait until now when the Twilight series is over?
Have a great Christmas & new year!
Grant1
