They were very impressed with some two wheel stunts she pulled to create
some action and seem to be very interested in her birth date – I guess
wondering whether or not she was before or beyond the age of responsible
behaviour.
Jenny also organised for them to get a few minutes of about 10 of us
(Auckland Blokart Members) simulating a race start and some fast corner
action.
Would love to see a copy of the video if it turns out OK

Today we received a phone call from TBS, a Japanese broadcasting company
who went out to NZ to get a “taste-of-NZ” for their weekly profile of
any given country.
In the process of being in Auckland they stumbled upon some blokarters
and the footage will be aired here on Sat. 13th. I’ll get a copy and
post it at our Video pages at www.hiwinz.com <http://www.hiwinz.com/>
as soon as I have it. (That’s if it’s worthwhile of course – local TV
stations can really make a hash out of their coverage at times)
Question remains…… Who ran into a Japanese TV crew in the Auckland area
recently??

Whatever became of the footage shot by Japanese TV of the 2006 NZ Open?

Hey I just got some pics of our base during the Opens, its at Ridges, yeah yeah in the middle of the harsh country side, gum tree after gum tree. A mate rang me, Don he said, I don’t know why I signed up for this event, oh …… I said, what is the matter….It is a bit rough he said……. Oh dear I thought…… I talked this event up and ‘suckered’ these guys into a hole…..I will send you the pics he said, and he did.

Then I got the pics, I think he owes me a drink at the one of two pool side bars!

The coverage was pretty good and it should be on our website later today after I’ve cut out the ads and converted it to WMV and RM formats. If you’re interested in the MPG file just let me know.
