Greetings All,

Todd and Jenny get a take and their Japanese REALLY shines on the programme.

Alan, Grant, Russell and a few others I can’t recognize behind/under glasses and helmets get good footage.

The files are available for download and viewing at www.hiwinz.com under the video section. (Files are being uploaded right now so some may still be in transit if you cannot see/download them immediately)

If they don’t appear immediately when you click on the button, that would because a large file is being downloaded in background. To be perfectly sure right-click on the desired size/format and save-target-as.

Some background and explanation of the TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting Systems) programme.

World Breakfast – Implies a weekly programme with a breakfast display from different countries. Mixed into that are any other novelties the TV Crew stumble upon on location.

In the full version of the programme, or rather the part that covers NZ they picked up on:

vege market in an area of Auckland (I couldn’t immediately recognize the location – but possibly Takapuna);

Movenpick ice cream bar with Hoki-Poki high on the menu;

A typical Garage Sale;

Auckland City of Sails which very quickly moves into blokarting;

A rhubarb muffin ….. Give them a break ….. after all it’s a breakfast show.

At the end of the programme they get back to blokarting with a bit of “fibbing” from the main presenter. She states that she had a blokart experience once and that after a whole day she managed to do it quite well. We sent her a DVD a year ago or so and she must be referring to taking a whole day to manage working out how to operate the DVD player.

Regardless, wonderful coverage and thanks to the guys in Auckland for hosting the TBS TV Crew.

Best regards,

Jimi

PS Why is this all not on Youtube?

For obvious reasons I want the viewers to look at other parts of the HiWiNZ site and blokarting rather than stray off into other non-related video material;

Youtube only offers streaming services so if your connection is not high-speed your video is shaky and you can’t see the movie.

HiWiNZ does not have streaming services for high speed users but you can simply download the video and watch it at your leisure and if you want to add the files onto your own promotional DVD – go for it. Re-use of a Youtube video file is not possible.
