Yes it was a great days sailing. Unfortunatly I couldn't sail myself but had the benefit of watching every race. Pretty much all races were fast and close with no one really dominating their division. 33 people registered – fantastic. Young Ben winning his first race well . Stu Clark

Thanks Garry and Stu,
Yes it certainly was a great day with wind forecast behaving and a steady 15 to 20 knots SW all day. The winds did vary for brief times, which saw lots of hasty sail changes at the last second. Everything from 2 metres, to attempted 5.5 by Stu Cooney. Apparently Stu had the sail half way up his mast when a sudden gust make him chicken out.
All up 15 races (5 per the 3 weight divisions) plus an all up fun race at the end. Who did win that??
Results should be up on Jlap soon.
The various course options ensured that no one racer dominated his division. In fact, as Stu mentioned, there was a huge variety of results. Well done Ben, beating all those seasoned sailors! Ben had his own support team (grandparents) blasting on their horn in support of his big win.
Good to see new competitor in SH division Jono in his production kart. Well done Jono. I noted your improving performance as the day went on. Keep up the race tuning questions. Everyone is more than willing to help.
Lots of funny events on the day, but Debs new auto reefing mast, was pretty cool.
Thanks to all the volunteers helping on the day to make things happen.. That's what it's all about.
Happy recent or soon to come birthdays to Ted, Leo, Tina, and Pam

Thanks Russell for BAI roundup.

Upcoming events,

-ABC teams race at Bruce Pulman this Sunday 21st. BBC have one team so far. Any other takers? Let me know.
- BAI organized weekend event  4th and 5th July at New Zealand's premier venue, Ohakea Airbase at Bulls. Any other takers? Let me know.
- BBC winter race day #4, 12th July

Cheers for now,

Theo (race officer)
