Good start to 2010

It has been a good start to 2010, with some good wind (best summer in last 3 years (wind wise))

Our Twilight series finally got off the ground last Wednesday when we managed to pull off the first 6 races, 3 light & 3 heavy weight (the last HW race was a struggle, (had to restart a few times)) and in future we will be finishing in better time, so as not to be packing up in the dark! Good on the 5 Manawatu members who came down, going well they were too (we will have to be vigilant to keep the silverware in the Capital!)

An awesome Club day at BBP (Bunnings blokart Park (Paraparaumu)) on Sunday. I arrived at 1300 to see ½ doz karts using a mixture of 4 & 5 m sails and chose a 4m myself for the first few races before changing to a 5 for another few races and then back to a 3m! Some stuck to one sail (4 or 5m) and some spent more time changing sails than racing! All in all, a good day with a dozen or so races and everyone (14 karts, I think) having lots of fun. Reminder, Monteiths tomorrow (Wednesday) night, 7:30pm all welcome!

I hope to be there too, had major job done on a molar because some very kind butcher made a sausage with a piece of bone in it, just to add some more enjoyment to someones BBQ, result cracked tooth much pain, broken wallet much wailing, so still not a happy chappy at the moment.
