It was 20 f (-5c) Wind was generally 20 mph with gusts to 30. The guys were doing 30 mph (by Sean's GPS) Could have gone much faster but the snow was a little deeper then we like it and that held down the speed. Being able to go twice the speed of the wind is normal. In some cases faster depending on ice conditions.

Lots of space on Michigan Lakes – Time for a little geography lesson on our home State of Michigan. Michigan is about the square area of New Zealand. There are thousands of lakes here that are 2 to 3 miles in diameter or more. So there can be lots of choices when they freeze over. Or none if they don't. Such is the reality of ice boating.

Want to try it? Keep your eyes and ears open. After the Gobi desert trip that many are going on, Sean and I hope to have plans for a "blo-blade" trip here (Next January-February) PB and several others have expressed a similar interest in doing "blokarts on ice" as you have. We are learning how the local Michigan ice boating crowd finds the best ice each weekend using a calling tree and lake condition "hot line" phone number. Then they all meet there for two days.

The Sponsors will get one automatically, and we'll contact the sailors who registered as soon as we have the duplication costs to work out numbers. Anyone else who would like the complete version of the DVD please let me know so we can finalise number. The more we have the cheaper it will be.

It has been a big job to get down 8 hours or more original footage into about 20 minutes plus the 2 minute promo. There are interviews too, and it is book marked for ease of access into 5 sections. The opening ceremony, race days, fun days, dinner and presentations are all covered. It is professional quality all the way through so it is suitable for the big screen or TV.
